In September of 2020 we published an article about an update to a new development under construction in Royal Oak, Michigan called “The Griffin”. The Griffin is a 250,000 square foot luxurious apartment community with 245 apartments and ground floor retail, all of which is wrapped around a 450 space, six-level parking garage. Each level of the parking garage connects to the residential floors providing convenient access for residents. The Griffin is located on the northeast corner of 10 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue (across from the Detroit Zoo) near some of the hottest entertainment attractions, shopping districts, nightlife, dining establishments, and fitness and wellness centers in the metro Detroit area.
Construction of the parking garage was completed in 2020 and construction of the mixed-use residential was completed earlier this year. The Griffin is now accepting tenants in the apartment community as well as the ground floor retail level. The ground floor retail level already consists of a new coffee shop called Royal Oak Roast with several other restaurants and shops nearby!
Rich & Associates, as consultants to Singh Development, provided parking consulting, architectural and structural engineering design services. Our designers coordinated closely with The Griffin design team that includes JDavis Architects of Raleigh, NC and Krieger Klatt Architects of Royal Oak, MI. We’ve really enjoyed wacthing this development come to life!
