In December 2019, Rich & Associates, in association with The Christman Company, was awarded a contract to provide design, engineering and construction related services for two new parking garages for the campus of Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. The original project included the 5 level 825 space Lot 23 Garage and 3 level 1,032 space Gannon Garage.

Early in the design, a decision was made by the College to change the program eliminating the Lot 23 Garage and increasing the capacity of the Gannon Garage. The first phase of construction has begun on the Gannon Garage, which will be a 5 level, 1,777 space facility. This phase of construction involves the demolition of the existing Gannon Garage, which exceeded its useful service life. Demolition is on track to be completed by April with construction of the new parking ramp set to start in May.

The project is being completed under a hybrid Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery construction platform. Rich & Associates, as the prime design firm, is providing parking consulting, architectural and structural engineering design services. Our team’s work will be completed in collaboration with The Christman Company, serving as Construction Manager at Risk / General Contractors.
