Rich & Associates’ affiliate, MEDPark Management, Inc., has been managing and operating a 1,600 space parking garage at the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago since 2003. The 2020 pandemic has changed how our management team operates and has informed our designers on how we look at designing parking.
In order to protect and maintain a high level of service to our Nation’s veterans, early in the crisis our management team implemented stringent rules and policies around social distancing, mask wearing and building sanitization. Customer service contact points, including our offices and cashier booths, were outfitted with protective shields allowing our customers to be served safely, while also protecting our team members. Our maintenance team diligently sanitize all public space touch points on an hourly basis. These points include doors and door handles, elevators and elevator buttons, handrails, and parking equipment.
Over the past several months our parking designers are studying ways to make new parking garages safer, taking lessons from our parking management team.
