Our Planning Team is gearing up for a busy summer! We are starting by welcoming back out intern Brendan who is currently wrapping up his second year at Wayne State University. This will be his second summer assisting our planning department.
- City of Midland, MI. – In Midland, parking is perceived as a challenge with convenient parking difficult to find. Recent public and private investment has brought new residential, business and development activity to the downtown. As the City evaluates economic development opportunities, it is critical to consider the parking challenges and their long-term goals of improved mobility. Rich & Associates will be embarking on a parking study of downtown Midland to develop a set of recommendations that both satisfies current and future parking needs while promoting and supporting park once strategies and mobility options.
- City of La Crosse, WI. – Rich & Associates has been providing parking consulting planning services to the City of La Crosse since 2000. This latest assignment includes an update to the 2014 downtown parking study, and new studies of the City’s Northside District, The University of Wisconsin La Crosse / Wisconsin Technical College District and the Gunderson Lutheran / Mayo Clinic District. In all, the study encompasses more than 300 blocks within the City.
- City of Rockford, MI. – Rich & Associates started data collection tasks in the completion of a parking planning study for the City of Rockford. The study has been commissioned by the City in response to continued economic growth and plans for a new downtown hotel development.
- Village of Downers Grove, IL. – Rich & Associates’ first work for the Village involved a downtown parking study in 2011. Due to continued growth in businesses and downtown residential population the Village retained Rich & Associates to update the 2011 study to determine how parking is being impacted by the changes downtown and to develop a set of strategies to accommodate the growing community.
